Painting for Pleasure
Painting for Pleasure was started approximately 20 years ago and was attached to the W. I.  Last year (1999) Painting for Pleasure branched out on their own and now have approximately 20 members meeting every Tuesday afternoon, with a tutor once a month. Painting outings are arranged 2 or 3 times during the summer months.

The tapestry square was designed and worked by Jean Writer.

Probus Club
The Ferring Probus Club was founded in 1982 by Norman Lewis (deceased), Bob Blythe-Simpson, Harry Colmer, Sidney Coooke, Tom Merricks and Jack Wood. Its aim was to promote good fellowship between retired and semi-retired professional and businessmen. The meetings take place once a month for lunch and once a month with the members' ladies for coffee.

The square was designed by John Spellar and worked by John Spellar and Mrs. Olive King.
