PLEASE HELP!

Peter Trounce of Toronto has written asking for help as follows:
I was born and brought up in West Worthing and left for Canada in 1948. I went to Broadwater Manor School and the High School, my father was manager of the Midland Bank.

Recently I have been restoring some old photos digitally which I took about 1938. Among them are two Sussex country houses which I would dearly love to be identified (I'm sure they're not in Ferring). Been searching the web to find someone who might know. Your site is so active that I thought perhaps you might be able to assist ?

I attach the two 1938 photos. I have named them "Country House" and "River House". Not very original, but it was easiest. Glad to receive any responses.

I found your Ferring site by trying West Sussex through "Google". My goodness, Ferring is a lively place, isn't it? No need to be bored there!

Peter Trounce,
Toronto.

"Country house"
Can anyone identify this house, or the one below?
If so, please email Peter Trounce - he'd be delighted to hear from you!
